He’s A Drunken Giraffe!

Speaking to Doctor Who Magazine 418 (and if you haven’t got it yet, what are you waiting for?!) new showrunner Steven Moffat has revealed that the new Doctor is sa bit of a klutz!

Matt Smith has already broken props and apparently fallen over a few times, leading The Grand Moff to describe the Eleventh Doctor as “walking like a drunk giraffe”.

“He knocks over coffees, falls over, breaks props! When he was first handed the brand new sonic screwdriver on the first day of filming, I turned to Piers [Wenger, executive producer], and I said, ‘I’m going to start a book on how long it takes him to break it’

“And, as I was saying it, the prop man was walking past me with the sonic screwdriver in two bits! I thought, ‘He’s done it already!’. Straight away, he’d broken it!”

Seriously though folks – the latest DWM is the one to buy if you’re dying to get some insight into the style of the new series as well as the way the new man in charge of Doctor Who works…
