Cloister Bellman?

Gina Bellman - room in the TARDIS for those legs?Coupling star Gina Bellman – who first shot to fame baring her thrupenny bits in Dennis Potter’s Blackeyes in 1989 – has revealed she would love to appear in Doctor Who, thanks to the presence of Steven Moffat as showrunner.

Series 31 is almost in the can – but there’s no reason why Bellman shouldn’t turn up in a later series under The Grand Moff and meet Matt Smith’s Eleventh Doctor.

Speaking to Digital Spy, the New Zealand born, dusky brunette revealed that her motivation would be to work with Coupling creator and writer Steven Moffat again.

“I think there was a petition online to get me involved in Doctor Who. I’m not a Doctor Who fanatic but I am a Steven Moffat fanatic.

“I’ve worked with him on Jekyll and Coupling so if he was to write anything for me – not just Doctor Who – I’d drop everything to go and do that.”

Bellman appeared in Moffat’s 2007 serial Jekyll opposite James Nesbitt and can currently be seen on the Bravo cable/satellite channel in the US drama series Leverage as Sophie Devereaux.
