As announced in January, the Revisitations DVD box set features previously released Doctor Who DVDs that were issued with a limited set of extras – other titles named to far for inclusion are the 1976 serial The Talons of Weng Chiang (which stars Tom Baker as the Doctor and Louise Jameson as Leela) and the 1996 TV Movie starring Paul McGann. These new releases feature an enhanced set of extra features, which might include additional commentaries, new documentaries and new PDF content.

The Caves of Androzani is the final episode of the Fifth Doctor era of Doctor Who, and stars Peter Davison as the Doctor and Nicola Bryant as Peri. Written by Robert Holmes, it was voted by Doctor Who Magazine readers last year as the most popular story of the show’s history.

This is how the news was revealed:

Given its popularity, The Caves of Androzani is well overdue a reissue – it should prove to be a major selling point on this box set. Note however that no date for release has yet been announced.
