Big Finish Script Avalanche!

Big FinishBig Finish recently announced that they were accepting pitches for new Doctor Who audio adventures from newcomers – and in the three week window of opportunity, received an amazing 1200 scripts!

It is of course a considerable reaction, much more than Big Finish were expecting and it leaves script editor Alan Barnes with the unenviable task of reading every single one.

The pitch was for a 25 minute standalone episode starring the Fifth Doctor and Nyssa. Competition was expected to be tough, but apparently 1200 is around three times what Big Finish were expecting.

By our calculations, reading and appreciating 6 scripts an hour in a 7 hour session, 5 days a week would take Barnes 6 weeks…

Good luck Alan!
