Barrowman Sings For You

John Barrowman still singingDigital Spy have a great gift for fans of John Barrowman – the man they call “quadruple threat” (some sort of euphemism…?) features in a special clip singing his Doctor Who inspired rip off version of a song from the musical Wicked.

The song is called “The Doctor and I”, and is based on The Wizard and I from the aforementioned piece of musical theatre.

“I first sang this version of the song at a concert in Wales for, amongst others, David Tennant and Russell T. Davies,” John tells us, “and they loved it. Which is why it’s on this album. We’ve given it new lyrics to make the song relevant to Captain Jack and his relationship with the Doctor. It’s quirky, it’s funny and it’s really good. I’m terribly proud of it.”

You can hear the song via the Digital Spy website or wait for Barrowman’s new album of show tunes – John Barrowman – which is out on March 1st.
