Congratulations to foxy Sally Sparrow actress Carey Mulligan who last night beat actresses such as Meryl Streep and Audrey Tautou to win a Best Actress BAFTA award last night.
Mulligan – who appeared in 2007′s Blink – starred as a young woman embarking on a relationship with an older man during the 1960s in An Education.
The actress, 24, said: “I was here a year ago and I didn’t imagine in a million years that this would happen.
“I wish I could do a speech like Colin Firth and talk about fridges but I can’t.”
I’m sure all Doctor Who fans are thrilled for the actress, who will be back on cinema screens later this year as Michael Douglas’ daughter in Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps.
The question now is – can Carey Mulligan win an Oscar as well?
