Watch Doctor Who on Retro TV
February 9, 2010, 3:03 am
Looking for an old tradition cathode ray tube television to get the authentic flavour out of your classic Doctor Who DVDs? No, me neither, but LG reckon someone wants a taste of the retro TV sensation – they’ve issued a new CRT television!
Called the Classic TV, it’s a real CRT encased in something that looks like 1050s Bakelite but is probably slightly tougher. Frankly it could have walked straight out of The Sims, and with those two dials on it looks just the right side of hideous.
It’s around $215 in the USA (around £130 here in blighty if you can get hold of one), has video/audio in sockets and the Korean electronics manufacturer have a trick up their sleeve with it – you can flick between colour, black and white and even sepia mode!
So if you’re finding your copy of The War Machines is a bit too crisp, buy a Classic TV and watch it through that!
