Surprise Barrowman!

John Barrowman as Robin HoodJohn Barrowman surprised children and guests at the 10th anniversary celebrations of Ty Hafan Children’s Hospice, in Sully, south Wales today, as the Torchwood and Doctor Who star took a break from panto.

Barrowman has strong ties to the hospice, which has provided care and support for almost 400 life-limited children, youngsters and their families since opening 11 years ago. While taking a walk with his partner Barrowman discovered Ty Hafan Children’s Hospice and has since raised £9,000 for the wonderful work done at the hospice, with more on its way thanks to generous audiences watching John Barrowman as Robin Hood in panto.

“I’m really proud to say that I live in Wales because the people here are so generous. We have bought a house here in Sully and love it here.

“We hope to be in Wales for a long time. My partner’s family are from south Wales and used to have land on the Gower.”
