Vworp Vworp!

Vworp Vworp! is the new Doctor Who fanzine conceived as a tribute to 30 glorious years of Doctor Who Magazine – and it’s about to be released! A run of 1000 copies is available, 900 with the “main” cover and 100 with the “limited edition” cover!

With ridiculously high production values for a fanzine, the main release cover of Vworp Vworp! features illustrations by 14 of the finest artists in Doctor Who comic history:

Baxter Sullivan (1st Doctor), Roger Langridge (2nd Doctor), Ben Willsher (3rd Doctor), Adrian Salmon (4th Doctor), Dan McDaid (5th Doctor), Sean Longcroft (6th Doctor), Lee Sulivan (7th Doctor), Martin Geraghty (8th Doctor), Mike Collins (9th Doctor), Rob Davis (10th Doctor) and Leighton Noyes (11th Doctor), with cameos from Dave Gibbons, Dicky Howett and John Ridgway.

Amazingly however there is also a second cover – while both have “free gift” rub-on transfers of the Eleventh Doctor, Amy Pond and some Daleks, the limited run cover harks back to the very first edition of Doctor Who Weekly in 1979 with a back cover by Ben Templesmith.

With a Facebook group and a dedicated website, you can buy Vworp Vworp! online at either via Paypal (or cheque if you don’t have an electronic payment method) – full details are on the website including a few sample pages.

I think you will agree, Vworp Vworp! looks absolutely stunning; we’ll be featuring it in more depth over the coming weeks!
