Kiss Me, Karen!

According to red-top rag The Sun, there is more to new Doctor Who companion Amy Pond than meets the eye!

Karen Gillan plays Amy Pond in Doctor WhoThe character – played by Karen Gillan – teams up with Matt Smith’s Eleventh Doctor in the first part of season 31, set  to kick off in the Spring. Yet set photos of the red haired beauty dressed as a rather fetching policewoman don’t tell the full story, according to the paper’s sources.

Get ready for some spoilers…

“Everyone thinks she is this prim and proper policewoman, however it’s going to be revealed early on that she works as a kissogram.

“It’s going to be a bit of a shock for the fans, but I think they’re going to enjoy it.

“Amy Pond’s a really strong character and Karen is great in the role.”

This is certainly a first for Doctor Who – a series that has had a good share of strong female characters over the years, despite some outdated public perceptions.

It also seems (as expected) that the new Who is going to be moving away from the previous 5 years with Steven Moffat at the controls:

“Moffat’s an edgier writer and the show is going in an exciting new direction.”
