DWA Regenerates

Doctor Who Adventures 148The current edition of Doctor Who Adventures features a very interesting free gift – embedded in the cover! It’s a lenticular image of Tenth Doctor David Tennant amd Eleventh Doctor Matt Smith and is something of a rarity – it is the first time a childrens BBC Magazines publication has featured a lenticular on the front cover.

Lenticulars are of course those plastic-coated images with a slight “corrugated” feel to them which when tilted show two different images – and a regeneration from one Doctor to another is of course a perfect use for the technology

Says Moray Laing, editor of Doctor Who Adventures:

“Our collector’s issue magazine is a fitting tribute to David Tennant’s final episode and the start of a new series of adventures with Matt Smith as the eleventh Doctor.”

“We are really proud to have produced such an innovative cover to celebrate the regeneration and believe it will have real impact on the newsstand.”

Doctor Who Adventures 148 is still available in all good newsagents and supermarket chains, priced £2.10
