Where’s the Bottom?

No, it’s not another Shakespearean role for David Tennant – more a comment on his physique from veteran actress June Whitfield who guested in The End of Time, Part One as Minnie Hooper!

In an episode loaded with madness and tension, the early scene featuring the pensioners “Silver Cloak” network used by Wilf to find the Doctor featured most of the humour – and while Barry Howard wasn’t looking at David Tennant in a moment that wouldn’t have looked out of place in an episode of Are Your Being Served?, June Whitfield was quickly clamping her hands on the Time Lord’s posterior.

Cheeky? I shoiuld say so, yet it seems Ms Whitfield had trouble with the scene:

“Well, he is so thin that it was difficult to find the bottom!” June, 84, tells the Sun. ‘But this was in the script, I promise.”
