Long term readers of Kasterborous will recall our announcement several months ago that we were developing a special, unofficial Doctor Who comic strip to run on the site. To this end, we opened a competition to find a new unpublished comic book artist, at the suggestion of former Doctor Who Magazine editor John Freeman.
After months of writing, illustrating, lettering and several revisions, the first installment of Time Leech is ready – and coming to this very website this weekend!
On Saturday evening, the first installment of our Tenth Doctor adventure will be available to download in PDF format. Developed from an concept by myself and Brian Terranova, with art by the winner of our “Search for a Comic Book Artist” competition, Justin Abbot, Time Leech also features letters by Colin Brockhurst and script advice from John Freeman.
The first of three parts, we’re giving it away to readers of Kasterborous over the next couple of months until parts 2 and 3 are available sometime around March. With a completed 30+ pages ready you’ll then be able to download all three self-contained adventures complete with a cover from one of the competition’s runners up!
Check back here tomorrow – around 7pm UK time sounds good! – and download your copy! Meanwhile you can read about the development of the strip via the links on the left!
