David Tennant at the Movies

As if BBC idents, appearances on QI, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, radio shows and reading bedtime stories (and there’s loads more, such as Hamlet) and of course Doctor Who wasn’t enough for David Tennant fans this Christmas, he’s also playing a starring role int he new St Trinian’s movie.

Appearing opposite Gemma Arterton, Girl’s Aloud’s Sarah Harding, Colin Firth and Rupert Everett, Tennant plays the villainous Pomfrey in St Trinians II: The Legend of Fritton’s Gold. The title – a play on the title of the awful City Slickers II subtitle – gives away a little of the plot which features Tennant’s dastardly cad Pomfrey attempting to find the gold of headmistress Miss Fritton’s (Rupert Everett) pirate ancestor.

Here’s the trailer – note Tennant gets second billing ahead of Colin Firth…

St Trinians II: The Legend of Fritton’s Gold is out on Friday, 18th December – find out more at www.sttriniansmovie.co.uk
