Return of the Cave Monsters? (SPOILERS)
While we’re all speculating about the final end for the Tenth Doctor, the 2010 series of Doctor Who is managing to film in relative anonymity.
Thanks to a mighty bunch of fans snapping away with various camera phones (and in some cases higher quality equipment) it would seem however that there are quite a few secrets to keep…
According to io9.com, there have been some very interesting creatures on one of the location sets recently – speculated to be a return of a long lost ancient enemy of mankind and the Doctor…
Apparently the monsters are Silurians, the reptilian masters of Earth first seen in 1970s Doctor Who and ther Silurians and again with their seaborne cousins the Sea Devils in 1984s Warrior from the Deep.
Curiously however, the creatures don’t appear to have a Third Eye – the centre of forehead/crest additional eye that possesses telepathic ability, useful for manipulating a Silurian’s dinosaur or striking fear (or death) into a human.
Of course, an additional eye could be added in post production.
