Sarah Jane Guests

The Sarah Jane Adventures has been the destination for a myriad of esteemed character actors and leading lights since it began, and Series 3 appears to be no different!

It has recently been announced in Doctor Who Magazine that Miriam Margolyes and Simon Callow will both appear in the next run of the CBBC show, and they join David Tennant, Nigel Havers, Brian Miller and Suranne Jones in the 2009 run of the show.

Previous series meanwhile saw Samantha Bond, Jane Asher, Phyllida Law, Russ Abbott, Bradley Walsh, Nicholas Courtney and Floella Benjamin put in an appearance; Floella Benjamin also returns this time around, reprising Professor Rivers.

However Miriam Margolyes and Simon Callow – who played Charles Dickens in 2005’s Doctor Who adventure The Unquiet Dead – won’t be appearing on screen for their appearance in the Series 3 finale The Gift. They will instead be providing their voices, which raises some interesting questions about the final story of The Sarah Jane Adventures, which returns on Thursday, October 15th on BBC One!
