Paul McGann: Return Unlikely

Former Doctor Who Paul McGann has admitted that it is unlikely he will ever make any form of return to our screens as the eighth incarnation of the Time Lord.

Although enjoying a popular and long run on audio with Big Finish, Paul McGann’s televised Doctor Who career lasted for not even the entire duration of the 1996 TV Movie. Since then, rumours of his return have abounded, with only a few even half true.

“It’s highly unlikely, because since I walked off that set in 1996, no one’s ever called me, I’ve never met these people, I’ve never been down to Cardiff and met what’s his face, Russell T Davies

“So no, maybe haven’t they got my number. There’s always rumours, it’s nice to stoke the fire. I’m always hearing them.”

Paul McGann is appearing in upcoming ITV 1 drama Collision alongside Phil Davis (Fires of Pompeii), which also airs in the US on PBS as part of the Masterpiece Contemporary series on 15th November & 22nd November from 21:00 – introduced by David Tennant…
