Karen Gillan Spotted at Shoot

Karen Gillan, Doctor Who's Amy PondDoctor Who is shooting on location this week and Karen Gillan – Amy Pond to Matt Smith’s Eleventh Doctor – has been spotted!

Neath Abbey is the site of the latest location work, and while Smith was also present he was apparently obscured by a security guard and an umbrella.

The ruined 12th century Neath Abbey has been transformed into a complete structure for the purposes of the location shoot, with onlookers telling Welsh publication the Western Mail that typical abbey windows were created out of grey screens while young extras in black robes or dirty clothes were lined up within the once-proud holy site.

Apparently Gillan – whose character recieves the misnomer “Pope” – was wearing little more than a dressing gown.

Regrettably, we don’t have pictures.
