Find the Hero

Torchwood actor Kai Owen has thrown his weight behind a campaign to find volunteers for the Save the Children charity, reports WalesOnline.

Kai Owen as Rhys WilliamsSave the Children volunteers are needed who can help raise money at the drop of a hat when an emergency including an earthquake, cyclone, famine or war strikes our unprepared world.

Owen – who plays Eve Cooper’s partner Rhys Williams in the Doctor Who spinoff – puts it like this:

“Torchwood may be full of fictional heroes, Save the Children’s challenge shows you don’t need superpowers to make a difference.”
