Torchwood actor Kai Owen has thrown his weight behind a campaign to find volunteers for the Save the Children charity, reports WalesOnline.
Save the Children volunteers are needed who can help raise money at the drop of a hat when an emergency including an earthquake, cyclone, famine or war strikes our unprepared world.
Owen – who plays Eve Cooper’s partner Rhys Williams in the Doctor Who spinoff – puts it like this:
“Torchwood may be full of fictional heroes, Save the Children’s challenge shows you don’t need superpowers to make a difference.”
