Dreamland Blog Updates

The upcoming animated series Dreamland has a production blog on the BBC Official Doctor Who site – and following a bit of a pause after its initial launch they’ve kicked off this week with lots of updates.

Dreamland stars David Tennant as the voice of the Tenth Doctor as well as Georgia Moffett, and is executive produced by Russell T Davies, Julie Gardner and Piers Wenger.

The blog features Q&As with the Three Who Rule as well as various behind the scenes interviews and such like.

Animation if of course a different ball game to television -so it’s great to have a fascinating journal as provided by the blog. It’s not perfect – a lack of comprehension about the project is necessary to avoid spoilers after all – but it is certainly unmissable.

However in the coming weeks it certainly seems as though we will be seeing a bit more of what’s in store

“An incredibly busy week. And we’ve just recieved the storyboards for Episode 6! Storyboards are like your very own Doctor Who comic – all drawn by hand, they are the first attempt to visualise and describe the action from the script. But they aren’t just a bit of fun – they show the proposed camera angles and staging of the shots that will be in the final animation – so we need to make sure that every single frame is absolutely perfect.”

Can’t wait!
