Sarah Jane Series 3 Preview

Nigel Havers guests in The Sarah Jane AdventuresDigital Spy have pulled together everything they know about Series 3 of The Sarah Jane Adventures and brought us a preview of the next run of the Doctor Who spin-off which is likely to return in the next 2 months. Highlights of the season follow…

Prisoner of the Judoon kicks off the season by featuring the rhino-headed aliens from 2007 and 2008’s Doctor Who, with Producer Nikki Wilson informing:

“The Judoon are joining us in our series opener, alongside a brand new monster, a reptilian character called Androvax, a Veil. He’s under arrest when one of the Judoon’s life carriers crashes on Earth, so a Judoon’s hunting down his prisoner who’s escaped.”

Suranne Jones guest stars in The Sarah Jane Adventures. With less cleavage. The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith not only guest stars David Tennant as the Doctor, Brian Miller (Lis Sladen’s real life husband) and Nigel Havers (big TV star who keeps a tight guard on the “suave” character niche, pictured above) but also a wedding – and the return of The Trickster who previously tempted Sarah Jane into temporarily preventing her parents’ death in the last series, leading to all sorts of hellish time line changes.

Mona Lisa’s Revenge apparently features a living painting and a guest star in former Coronation Street actress Suranne Jones (right), while the series concludes with The Gift which apparently features both Slitheen and feuding cousins the Blathereen.

With The Mad Woman in the Attic and The Eternity Trap forming the remainder of the run, that makes 12 episodes of Sarah Jane, Luke, Clyde and Rani – 6 of which feature K-9!
