Animated Doctor Who adventure Dreamland starring David Tennant and Georgia Moffett

More information about the upcoming Doctor Who animated adventure Dreamland has been released by the BBC – including confirmation that actress Georgis Moffett (The Doctor’s Daughter) also stars.

Dreamland is directed by Gary Russell and written by Phil Ford who seems to be almost unstoppable in providing scripts for the Whoniverse – he’s recently contributed to both Doctor Who, Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures. Executive Producers are Russell T Davies, Julie Gardner and Matt Smith era exec Piers Wenger.

This new audio adventure sees the Tenth Doctor arrive at infamous alien hot spot, Roswell in 1958, 11 years after the infamous UFO crash is said to have occurred…

During a visit to a local diner he stumbles upon a mysterious alien artefact that leads him on a mission to rescue Rivesh Mantilax from the threat of the Viperox and the clutches of the American military.

Joining the Doctor is a new companion, the animated Cassie Rice played by Georgia Moffett, while the leader of the ruthless alien Viperox is voiced by the legendary tones of David Warner. The title Dreamland meanwhile is a nickname for Area 51, the USAF-owned portion of the Nevada desert used for “testing purposes”…

The imminent animated adventure and the forthcoming Waters of Mars adventure coverage have meanwhile forced the Official Doctor Who website to reorganise things slightly, with news moved to a new Bulletins section and coverage of Dreamland (and hopefully later projects…) taking centre stage in the Blog.
