Karen Gillan On TV

Future Doctor Who companion Karen Gillan is currently featured in Channel 4’s The Keven Bishop Show, the fast-paced comedy sketch show in which she plays a wide variety of female characters (including a vague impersonation of The X Factor‘s Cheryle Cole).

Karen Gillan currently stars in The Kevin Bishop Show on Channel 4Gillan appeared throughout the first series of the show alongside Bishops other regular cast members but in a smaller role – the second run however has seen her take a greater share of the female characters in the sketches which are riffs and knock-offs of popular TV shows and adverts – Bishop’s show is framed as a channel hopping Sky viewer flicking between channels, enabling the sketches to end without a punchline.

Although some of the material is hit and miss it’s a good “after the pub” show and of course features the talents of the beautiful Ms Gillan who offers a range of accents and looks in order to portray the various characters required.

If you haven’t see The Kevin Bishop Show it airs Friday nights at 10pm on Channel 4, and you can catch up with 4OD.
