Je Suis Un Rock Star

David Tennant’s remarkable rock star welcoming at the San Diego Comic Con Doctor Who panel on July 26th was discussed in the recent Letter From America, and Digital Spy have provided a few key quotes from an exchange between Russell T Davies and the series’ star on this very subject.

As far as the Doctor is concerned, he got a bit of a rock star welcome from Doctor Who fans in San Diego that day.

Tennant admitted: “It was a bit like being Robbie Williams for a minute there. I mean they did go crazy, didn’t they?”

Russell T. Davies added: “I’m really pleased. A lot of press clippings were saying that was an extraordinary welcome for you and how deserved and marvellous it was.”

An absolute triumph in walking through a door and on to a stage in an interesting manner.

Tom Baker would be so proud…
