India of an Era

Big Finish audio companion India Fisher is the co-star with Sixth Doctor Who Colin Baker in the current release Patient Zero and September’s Paper Cuts and Blue Forgotten Planet – and after that, Charley Pollard and the Doctor make a parting of ways.

It’s the end of an era for a companion who brought a new meaning to the term back in 2001 when she first teamed up with Paul McGann’s Eighth Doctor in Storm Warning, and we’ve been luckily enough to get an interview with India which you can read right here.

But is it the end for India and Big Finish? Here’s an answer that didn’t make the final edit…

“I always think I need to send in an anonymous CV to prove I can do different things. Nick always used to say whenever we were doing crowd scenes he would say “No, no your voice is so recognisable”. I think I need to prove to them I can do other things.

“With a wide variety of things they do now like Sapphire & Steel, I’m hoping that at some point I can come in and do a little bit.”

Now wouldn’t that be great?
