Eve Myles on Torchwood Series 4

There’s still no real news of a Torchwood Series 4 but Eve Myles certainly seems to talk as though there is.

Eve Myles as Gwen Cooper in Torchwood:Children of EarthChatting in WalesOnline she draws parallels with her own pregancy and that of Torchwood’s Gwen Cooper, slipping in a reference to the next run of the show:

“Of course, what I’ve really done is take method acting to the extreme,” laughed Ystradgynlais-born Eve, who’s due in November.

“I realised that for the fourth series Gwen will need a baby and I just thought, ‘Why let the casting department go to all the bother of finding a baby when I can just make one myself’!

Whatever happens of course, we’re more than likely to hear confirmation of a fourth run of Torchwood at some point this year. With the key players all enjoying their work – reflected in busy international schedules – getting just Russell T Davies, John Barrowman and Eve Myles together in a room good require some considerable organisation.

If a fourth run is announced, the formation of a new team will be interesting – surely Torchwood need more than a new mother and a traumatised grand filicider…?
