80s Companion Returns?

EDITORS NOTE: This story has now been debunked by a very reliable contact. Seems as though the source of this tale might have misheard or misunderstood…

OK this is a sensitive one – you really don’t want to read the rest of this item unless you are totally certain you don’t mind certain key news (rumours or otherwise) altering your expectations of the 2010 series of Doctor Who (aka Season 31).

This weekend the Bad Wolf convention is in full flow in Birmingham – and one of the guests has announced that they will be appearing in Doctor Who next year.

Aforementioned guest is a previous Doctor Who companion over the course of 3 years, has recently returned to the Whoniverse in a couple of Big Finish plays and even acted as agent to one of the Doctors…

That’s right – it is the Mouth on Legs herself, Australian-born Janet Fielding who has claimed in front of an audience that she is set to appear in Doctor Who!

As yet it isn’t clear what role Fielding will be playing – but more than likely is a reprisal of her character Tegan Jovanka.

We’ll naturally have more on this slightly bonkers rumour/news revelation as and when we get it!
