Doctor Who News no image

Torchwood Early July…

…and no synchronised broadcast. BBC Press Office have announced Torchwood: Children of Earth will air on BBC in Week 27 – some time during the week of 4th to 10th of July.

This is of course welcome news, and while neither slot or actual days of broadcast have yet to be announced it will be great to get to see the mini-series at last.

However it looks as though as prophesised by writer James Moran via Twitter, the game is up for a synchronised broadcast with BBC America who have Torchwood: Children of Earth planned as a key element of their HD sci fi week commencing July 20th.

While a 9pm broadcast is likely for Torchwood: Children of Earth it should also be noted that the BBC’s pointless Hotel Babylon is also back on screens from 9pm every Friday. As such a Monday to Friday 9pm broadcast should be ruled out assuming the BBC treat Torchwood well and give it a regular, accessible time slot across the intended 5 consecutive days.
