Bond Beauty on Smith

He’s certainly racking up the plaudits from his various co-stars and admirers, and this time Eleventh Doctor Who Matt Smith is given the thumbs up from European beauty and former Bond girl Eva Green (Vesper Lynd of Casino Royale).

They star together in the continental flick Womb, whose plot concerns a grieving widow cloning her husband after he suddenly passes away. Directed by Hungarian Benedek Fliegauf, it is his first English-language feature and also features Hannah Murray who was at one time touted as a possible companion to Matt Smith’s Eleventh Doctor.

Despite being unfamiliar with Doctor Who, Eva Green says of Smith:

“He’s great, he is very instinctive, very eccentric, very unusual and very unique, which is good for an actor.

“He is very, very funny, he can do anything.”

“I live in France so I am not very familiar with the Doctor Who,” she explained. “But I know he will do an amazing job.”

He’s certainly got a lot of fans… not least the ones that have been spotted catching him in the street for autographs – before even filming a scene!
