Torchwood Radio Play Update

BroadcastNow.co.uk reports that the upcoming series of Torchwood radio plays will air before the premier of Torchwood: Children of Earth this summer.

As previously reported, the three 45 minute plays starring John Barrowman, Eve Myles and Gareth David-Lloyd will air in BBC Radio 4’s Afternoon Play slot, supposedly ahead of the show’s return “later this year”.

If current estimates of June 15th being the Torchwood premier date are accurate, then these audio instalments could be broadcast in the next 3 weeks.

The stories are:

  • The Dead Line by Phil Ford – a series of mysterious phone calls lead Captain Jack into danger.
  • The Golden Age by James Goss, set in India.
  • Asylum is penned by Anita Sullivan and sees Torchwood investigate the story of a teenage runaway.
