Torchwood Children of Earth Hints

Ianto Jones actor Gareth David-Lloyd was a guest at the Vortex Doctor Who event in Belfast at the weekend, and revealed a new side to Torchwood’s butler that viewers will see in the forthcoming Children of Earth.

According to one fan’s blog:

Gareth David-Lloyd was a great presence, he kept a tight lid on the upcoming Torchwood: Children of Earth, but did reveal that we would find out much more about Ianto’s past, such as meeting his family, and discovering the reasons he tore apart from them.

The likelihood of a June broadcast seems to be ever increasingly, meanwhile, with David-Lloyd apprently letting it slip that the 5 part Torchwood miniseries would air in the “second week” of June.

The schedule of UKTV digital channel Watch on the other hand seems to indicate a June 15th launch for the new serial. They’re running repeats of Torchwood Series 1 from June 15th, and in their Monthly Highlights for the month of June state:

With four more episodes from series one across the week, fans can enjoy brand-new Torchwood on BBC One, as well as classic Torchwood on Watch straight afterwards.
