Character Sales Down

Doctor Who master toy licensee Character Options have announced a loss of 22% in their sales for the six months up to February 28th compared with the same time last year.

Obviously a lot of this is due to the economic crisis and people holding money back; when you’re dealing in millions one range won’t make a particular difference, but what does this mean for Who collectors?

Personally, I think there’s nothing to be worried about – Character aren’t going to fail from the looks of things and there is no sign of any big debts to worry about. Indeed, with rumours now spreading of new figures even this year perhaps they haven’t done as badly as they had feared they might have done.

Of course they wouldn’t say that, but I think speculation could fall on that conclusion fairly easily…

There’s a more in-depth discussion of this subject at Doctor Who Figures Online.
