Canny John Barrowman

John Barrowman’s UK tour of 17 dates this summer, among them Liverpool’s Philarmonic Hall which recently hosted the Lis Sladen-presented Music From Outer Space live orchestral event.

Barrowman chatted recently with the Liverpool Daily Post on the subject of being ubiqitous/versatile and whether or not we can expect to see him in Doctor Who again…

“I’m different things to different people and that’s a nice thing for me,” he says.

“I can be Mr Saturday Night entertainment, I can be the edgy Captain Jack on Torchwood, and the child-friendly one on Dr Who, and then I can let my hair down a bit on stage in the evening.”

So – onto the matter at hand. Will we see John return as Captain Jack in Doctor Who over Christmas 2009?

“All I can say is that he will return to help the Doctor when he needs assistance or help with an alien or when someone’s trying to destroy the earth. You can read what you like into that one.”

Err… he’s really not saying anything their is he? Playing it close to his chest there.
