Torchwood Spoilers…

Torchwood.tv have grabbed a few words from the forthcoming issue of SFX magazine which features an interview with Children of Earth producer Peter Bennett – and there are a few aspects of the guest characters backstory and purpose revealed…

It seems that the alient threat in the mini-series has been to Earth before – and only one organisation still exists from that era…

“Torchwood is the only surviving body that knows anything about the aliens being here before in the ’60s, and the government want to cover that up because they didn’t share that with the rest of the world. Basically, they release a blank page on Torchwood – that’s their way of saying, ‘Dispose of them, they never existed!’ – and it’s the job of Johnson [Liz May Brice] to go and execute that.”

There are also clues on Peter Capaldi’s civil servant Frobisher and more on Paul Copley’s Clem – who recalls the first visit by these beings.
