Planet of the Dead in Australia

With Planet of the Dead set to air in less than a week, spare a thought for Australian Doctor Who fans who don’t even know where the next Vworp Vworp is coming from…

Following repeats of the 2006 series being inexplicably put on hold after The Idiot’s Lantern until the "second half of the year" Planet of the Dead itself is pencilled in for a broadcast on ABC over the Australian winter season.

Which means that the adventure of the Tenth Doctor (David Tennant) and Lady Christine da Souza (Michelle Ryan) – both shown here on location in Dubai – will be shown in Australia in 2009…

There is however no indication of what will be broadcast on what exact date – and sadly no clue as to when Australian fans can expect to see the final three specials that are expected to be broadcast in the UK over the Christmas period.
