TARDIS Redesign

A long rumoured change to the TARDIS set and exterior looks as to be taking shape with the first appearance of Doctor Who # 11, Matt Smith.

Following the show’s transition to High Definition, more attention needs to be paid to standing sets such as the TARDIS interior and indeed the Police Box exterior – and a BBC source has told UK tabloid the Mirror that this is taking place, noting that:

"It will be the most hi-tech, intricate Tardis ever."

The Mirror themselves meanwhile make this interesting statement:

Production sources say the decision is being taken by new Doctor Who writer and executive producer Stephen Moffat, who wants to distance himself from previous show chief Russell T Davies.
