Radiophonic Workshop Live

Great news to fans of the iconic and influential BBC Radiophonic Workshop – a special live event takes place at the Roundhouse, London on May 17th, 2009 – with various veterans in attendance!

Scheduled to appear are Peter Howell, Paddy Kingsland, Roger Limb, Dick Mills and Mark Ayres who get together to explore Radiophonics past, present, and future. With old and new innovative electronica for a large arena combined with live performance and multimedia projections, this is truly an event not to be missed by any fan of the electronica.

Founded 1958, the BBC Radiophonic Workshop finally closed its doors 40 years later and was home to a number of enormously influential composers whose work has been impressed on generations of musicians.

Composers such as Delia Derbyshire, John Baker, Brian Hodgson, Dick Mills, Paddy Kingsland and Peter Howell have all produced immense pieces of work at the BBC Radiophonic Workshop – not least the Doctor Who theme tune and incidental sountdtracks.

Visit the Roundhouse website for more information, call them on 0844 482 8008 or email the box office
