Hamlet DVD Scheduled

Following on from our recent highlighting of the campaign to get a straight-to-DVD recording of Hamlet for edicational purposes, the Daily Telegraph reports that recording of a reunited cast performance has been scheduled!

Tennant’s lead was considered a huge success, and regarded by many as the finest Hamlet of the generation.  Polonius actor Oliver Ford Davies told the Telegraph:

"We are intending to film it over two or three weeks in June. It won’t be a full feature film as there isn’t time but it will certainly be more than just the filming of the stage. It will be fantastic to work together again."

It is likely the DVD will be recorded both for posterity and for educational reasons as per the original campaign, potentially making it the quickest and biggest selling educational DVD ever.
