Fake Doctors

The BBC have once again issued a warning to all fans to beware of internet imposters claiming to be David Tennant or Eleventh Doctor Matt Smith.

It seems that an increase of reported cases of alleged "Tennants" and "Smiths" has lead to the BBC issuing a clear statement that neither actor spends any time on chat sites, Facebook or other networking sites or web forums or discussion groups.

Let’s face it, it’s pretty unlikely either would have the time, isn’t it?

A BBC spokesman said:

"Do not be fooled by these impersonators – it will never be David Tennant or Matt Smith online."

"They wouldn’t want fans to think that anyone who uses these are talking to the real actors," he added.

"For their own safety, we would strongly advise all Doctor Who fans to ignore any such postings.

The motive behind anyone claiming to be a television hero is of course rather suspicious – and when that television hero is an icon to millions of children… well there can’t be many genuine reasons for making such ridiculous claims.

Please beware.
