Eve Myles on Torchwood Children of Earth

Torchwood star Eve Myles and director Euros Lyn went, saw and conquered the New York ComicCon – especially Eve Myles who seems to be developing quite a Stateside fan base – and in the process revealed a few snippets on Torchwood: Children of Earth.

One key piece of casting in Children of Earth is Peter Capaldi, best known to Doctor Who Fans as Caecilius from Fires of Pompeii.

Doctor Who and Torchwood director Euros Lyn describes his Capaldi’s character Frobisher as:

"…The greatest civil servant… He’s worked hard all his life, and suddenly he finds himself in the middle of the biggest terror. He’s a reluctant antagonist."

It seems that scheduling issues restricted the presence of Mickey Smith (Noel Clarke) and Martha Jones (Freema Agyeman) in the Torchwood team, while PC Andy (Tom Price) who has been in and out of the series since the very first episode makes a return.  Gwen Cooper’s husband Rhys also returns, becoming a member of the team in this third series.

The io9.com website also features a couple of filmed clips of chats with Myles and Lyn as well as a transcription.
