David Tennant Comic Relief

David Tennant will be taking part in the 2009 Comic Relief televison appeal it has been announced, hosting the first hour alongside presenter Davina McCall.

The Tenth Doctor actor will introduce a selection of fun items, sketches and fundraising docu-shorts as part of the 2009 charity appeal – which takes part in the middle of a global downturn…

"It’s a great honour for me," he said. "I remember the first Red Nose Day when I was at school, buying the t-shirt and everyone joining in."

He added: "At drama school, me and my mate Alan McCue formed a Proclaimers tribute act and went busking in Sauchiehall Street. We were rubbish, but earned £65 in our lunch hour. The people of Glasgow are very generous!"

Fancy some kinky photos of David Tennant wearing nothing but a red nose (and a familiar brown suit)?  Or just more information on Comic Relief 2009?

Comic Relief will air on Friday 13th March at 19:00pm.
