Barrowman Torchwood Comic Strip

Tochwood Magazine 14 is on sale today – and features a comic strip written by John Barrowman and his sister Carole!

Captain Jack and the Selkie pits the indestructible hero against an alien threat on a remote Scottish island, far from the Torchwood HQ.  Barrowman himself is said to be very pleased with the result:

"It’s brilliant work, the panels with the selkie are completely breathtaking… and Jack looks so damn good."

With art from Tommy Lee Edwards and Trevor Goring and letters by John Workman, Captain Jack and the Selkie looks set to be John’s first step of many into comic book writing, with Torchwood Magazine editor Mart Eden already planning to use the Torchwood star as a writer again in future.

A long-term Doctor Who fan, Christian grew up watching the show and has early memories of the Graham Williams era. His favourite stories are Inferno, The Seeds of Doom and Human Nature (although The Empty Child, Blink and Utopia all come close). When he’s not bossing around the news team, Christian is a freelance writer specialising in mobile technology and domestic computing, and enjoys classic rock, cooking and spending time in the countryside with his wife and young children. You can find him on Twitter, Facebook and Google+.
