Planet of the Dead Speculation

Cameras are once again rolling on Doctor Who this week, with shooting taking place at the  National Museum of Wales in Cardiff around which 2007’s The Lazarus Experiment was filmed.

Shooting is believed to be for Planet of the Dead, and with extra set dressing and lighting rigs, extras as guards taking stage directions and a mystery blonde in a black catsuit, things look very interesting indeed.

The mystery blonde has been speculated as being none other than Michelle Ryan (right), recently tipped by the press to be a companion to the Eleventh Doctor.  If this is the case, then it would be a typical repeat of the press getting things half right, with the actress turning up as a one off companion to the Tenth…

Other sources have collated a list of props:

  • "dark brown, almost burned-looking skeleton"
  • London bus with an ad saying "NEON – unbeatable call tariffs"
  • There’s a picture of a crushed red double-decker bus in the make-up and costume van

Evidently, the adventure has some of its setting as London – with presumably Dubai standing in as an alien planet where certain artefacts are transported.

I wonder if that includes the Doctor?
