Outstanding Visual Effects Nomination

The Cyberking has been nominated in the Visual Effects Society‘s annual list of awards – but the big surprise of The Next Doctor isn’t the only thing to be nominated from Doctor Who…

Alongside Iron Man, Hellboy 2 and even BBC One’s Merlin, the major special effects work from The Next Doctor stands literally head and shoulders above much of it’s competition, while the matte work from Silence in the Library (the amazing sky and landscape of the library world) has slightly stiffer competition.

Outstanding Visual Effects in a Broadcast Miniseries, Movie or Special
DOCTOR WHO "The Next Doctor" – The Cyber King
JOHN ADAMS – "Join or Die"
KNIGHT RIDER "Prometheus"

Outstanding Matte Paintings in a Broadcast Program or Commercial
DOCTOR WHO "Silence in the Library"
MERLIN "The Mark of Nimueh"

Congratulations to all involved in the nomination, and best wishes for winning the awards!
