The Next Doctor Inspires Shop Display

With the broadcast of The Next Doctor quite literally hours away, let’s pop to the city of Gloucester were some of the exterior footage was recorded back in July.

Gloucester’s annual best dressed window competition is now in its 4th year, and attracts 100 local businesses keen to enhance the Christmas spirit in the city’s shopping centre.

Naturally, the winners of one prize was traditional sweet shop Aunt Sally’s, in Westgate Street whose Doctor Who themed display featured a Cyberman and TARDIS in homage to the 2008 Christmas Special The Next Doctor.

Shop owner Sally Kennaby (Aunt Sally herself!) said:

“It had to be Doctor Who with the filming of it right here in Gloucester. When it was being filmed, we even saw a Cyberman coming up the street.”
