Tennant’s Back… or is he?

Everyone wants to know how David Tennant is doing following his back operation – and he does appear to be back on his feet… yet some speculation suggests that things aren’t 100% hunky dory.

David has been photographed at shops near his Crouch End home in North London as he recovers from a reported surgical procedure on his back – and the Evening Standard reckon he’s in trouble as far as getting back on stage for Hamlet goes

…and possibly even as far as Doctor Who goes.

There are now fears that the star will still be out of action when the shooting of four special episodes begins in Cardiff next month, threatening to delay the project.

They are to be his last episodes before he quits the BBC’s popular show at the end of next year.

Producers are frantically drawing up contingency plans to adapt around around Tennant’s prolonged recovery period, which according to spinal experts could take to “up to three months”.

With Doctor Who likely to start shooting again in a matter of weeks, this could prove problematic.

So what happens next…?
