SFX Review The Next Doctor

It seems like every man and his dog was at the press launch of The Next Doctor (except Davids Tennant and Morrissey).

SFX turned up too, and Dave Golder has writen a spoiler free vague review/synopsis of the 2008 Doctor Who Christmas Special.

The Next DoctorOf course you know how these things go – an embargo on the release of certain information pertaining to the plot means that there’s no way SFX can release any spoilers, and of course the review itself is less a review and more a chat about some unspoiler elements.

However that doesn’t stop us pulling out a few interesting snippets, with SFX revealing:

  • we know exactly who the David Morrissey Doctor is
  • this Victorian based story is more "Evil of the Daleks" than "Voyage of the Damned"
  • The Cybershades are also surprisingly effective
  • if you don’t plan on watching it, tune in for those last 10 minutes. It’s something you’ll definitely want to have an opinion on.

Fascinating… although why anyone would want to watch the last ten minutes of anything without the preceeding content I can’t fathom!
