Morrissey Keeps Schtum

The Next Doctor co-star David Morrissey chatted to Andrew Marr this morning on BBC One, on a range of theatrical subjects – including of course the Christmas Day 2008 Doctor Who (6pm BBC One).

Speaking with his natural Liverpool accent, Morrissey neatly sidestepped the question of whether or not he will be the next Doctor Who or not by raising the issue of Dame Helen Mirren’s infatuation with BBC News & Current Affairs’ Andrew Marr (who famously appeared as himself in Aliens of London).

So – while he might "The Doctor… simply the Doctor – the One, the Only and The Best!", we still don’t know if David Morrissey is "The Doctor… simply the Doctor – the One, the Only and The One After You"…

And regardless of what happens and who Kasterborous might have already announced as the Eleventh Doctor (based on information that every Doctor Who website has seen) we still don’t really, really know what’s going to happen in the future.

As long as David Tennant recovers from his back operation and The Next Doctor proves to be the best Christmas Special yet (as it is certainly shaping up to be!) then really life is too short to worry about Who’s Who.
