Absolutely No Appearances

On this morning’s Breakfast Show with
Christian O’Connell
on Absolute Radio (formerly Virgin Radio), Christian
revealed that David Tennant had been lined up to host his own show on
Sunday but, due to the back surgery which had taken him out of the
London run of the much acclaimed RSC production of Hamlet, he won’t be
able to do it.

The OC (as Christian O’Connell is known) was texting back
and forth with David in his hospital bed who said that the surgery had
gone well. David also put in a request for The OC to play a Proclaimer’s
track for him but The OC wanted to make sure he played the RIGHT one.

But which one…???

David has been a much loved special guest on the Breakfast Show a number
of times over recent years with his latest appearance on Friday 21st November this year.

Which Proclaimer’s track was played? The fabulous “Letter from America”!

I remember an interview with the Frankie Boyle lookalikes from about a hundred years ago where they said that its very difficult to actually sing with a Scottish accent and they had to work very hard to achieve
that effect…
