Whoniversal Appeal

Cardiff University is the host of an academic conference devoted to Doctor Who on 14-16 November.

The Whoniversal Appeal Conference has been organised by Phd student Melissa Beattie and features guest speakers who will examine issues of history, philosophy, fan culture, sexuality and technology which surround the series.

Among the speakers are Dr Matt Hills, Reader in the School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies, whose research focuses on cult media and fan cultures, as well as writer Rob Shearman (Dalek, Jubillee).

The event is open to all, costing £20 for the full three days or £12 for a single day. Register at the Whoniversal Appeal website for more information.
